Emma Jones is a valued member of the Defy Gravity team, having trained at the studio for over thirteen years. Her journey from student to Teaching Assistant reflects her long-standing dedication, consistency, and passion for dance across a wide range of disciplines.
Throughout her training, Emma has achieved an exceptional technical standard. She has successfully completed all BBO examinations up to Grade 8, alongside Vocational levels in multiple genres, demonstrating both versatility and commitment to excellence.
As a performer, Emma has gained valuable stage experience, appearing in the ensemble of three professional local pantomimes. These performances have strengthened her confidence, stage presence, and understanding of professional production environments.
Emma is currently completing her BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts at The Academy for Theatre Arts. She will be progressing to further professional training this autumn, beginning a BA (Hons) Degree in Musical Theatre as she continues to pursue a career in the industry.
Her passion for teaching is deeply rooted in her connection to Defy Gravity. As someone who has grown through the studio herself, Emma is a strong technical role model and a supportive, inspiring presence for younger dancers.
